Lynxight Establishes a Foothold in the U.S. Market: Hires Gareth Hedges as General Manager of U.S. Operations

Lynxight is pleased to announce the appointment of Gareth Hedges as General Manager of U.S. Operations. In this role, Gareth will be responsible for leading the company’s growth and expansion across the United States.

Gareth brings over 20 years of leadership experience in the aquatic safety and insurance industries. He previously led aquatic safety risk management for The Redwoods Group, a leading national specialty insurer, and served in various senior roles at the company, including heading the legal and claims department and ultimately overseeing the company’s operations as its President. Most recently, Gareth has served as an independent aquatic safety consultant and led customer success operations for Policygenius, the nation’s leading online insurance marketplace.

Gareth joins Lynxight at a pivotal stage in the company’s growth as we scale internationally with sites in Europe, Israel, and the United States. Lynxight recently closed a $6M investment round led by Champel Capital, which enables it to deploy significant resources in building the U.S. market for Lynxight’s AI-powered pool safety and management platform.

According to Eyal Amit, Lynxight’s Chief Commercial Officer and Co-founder, “Gareth is the perfect fit to lead Lynxight in the U.S. as he uniquely combines experience in aquatic safety, insurance, and technology. Lynxight’s model of Safety-as-a-Service is the future of water safety, and Gareth’s experience will be critical to making this future a reality today for facilities and insurers that want to protect swimmers and drastically reduce risk.”

Gareth said, “Lynxight is the right technology at the right time. As the aquatics industry faces increased challenges in staffing and training, it has to adopt technology and analytics at a rapid pace to address the staffing gaps. Lynxight brings this approach to the aquatics industry and I’m excited to be leading this change in how advanced water safety and analytics-driven operations are deployed across the U.S.”
