About this Position
As a Senior Algorithm Developer, you will own the core AI and computer-vision algorithms behind Lynxight's products: swimmer detection and segmentation, multi-camera tracking, distress detection, and camera calibration — from research through to real-time production on edge and cloud. You will work closely with software, product, QA, and field deployment teams, and mentor others as we grow.
What You'll Do
- Design, train, and deploy deep-learning models for swimmer detection, segmentation, and behavior analysis.
- Develop distress-detection and multi-camera tracking / identity-association algorithms.
- Work on 3D vision — camera calibration, multi-view geometry, and pose estimation in challenging pool environments.
- Optimize algorithms for real-time inference on edge and cloud (GPU utilization, memory, latency).Drive deployment, monitoring, debugging, and performance investigations end-to-end.
- Research, evaluate, and integrate state-of-the-art AI, machine learning, and computer vision technologies to continuously improve our products and development processes.
- Stay current with the latest advancements in AI/ML, foundation models, vision models, and developer tools, and identify opportunities to apply them to real-world products.
Requirements
- B.Sc. or M.Sc. in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, or a related field, with a strong foundation in linear algebra, probability and statistics, optimization, and geometry / multi-view vision - A Must
- 5+ years developing computer-vision and machine-learning algorithms - A Must
- Proven track record delivering ML solutions to production - A Must
- Expert-level Python; strong experience with PyTorch - A Must
- Object detection, segmentation, and tracking systems.
- Solid ML fundamentals and model evaluation.Linux development environments.
- Version control and CI/CD workflows.
- Experience using AI-assisted development tools (Claude Code, GitHub Copilot, Cursor, or similar) and agentic patterns (LLMs, MCP services, context engineering, memory, etc.) as part of your daily workflow to accelerate development, improve code quality, and solve complex problems.
- Self-motivated and able to drive tasks independently in a fast-paced startup environment.
